For my standard ph2 lx td, what air filter is best, and what options do up have?

I know with HDis the standard one is the best. You may get a bit more noise with a K&N but thats pretty much it.

k&n standard replacement panel filter. not really any gains over a paper filter other than its washable and has a million mile guarantee, saves costs in the long run
