She has a budget of about £3k, only does a few thousand miles a year so doesn't matter if petrol or diesel. I've told her about the GTi6 and she likes the sound of it, she is after something a bit sporty. What suggestions do you have?

Grab a '6 for 1k and use the remaining 2k to put a decent throttle body kit on

Buy a 6 and keep it standard and mint. They are becoming few and far between now!
