MK4 Golf GT TDi breaking!
#1
Hi there,

I know its a Pug forum, but i also know a few of you own golfs, even if you won't publicly admit it. Tongue. Copied the rest from dubgen.

Well most of you probably know my Golf killed its cams and lifters, and the clutch/DMF were also on the out, plus the MOT's coming up - so it's gonna be more cost effective to just break it for parts.

Everything available - except ovbiously the top end and clutch/DMF lol, also the wishbones are knackered, and one of the CV boots is ripped and I believe the joint is dry so not selling the shafts either, unless you're willing to refurb them.

I've posted pics of the car before on here, so feel free to check my previous threads, but if you want any specific pics just ask! Nothing has been removed yet but will be from this weekend onwards.

I've tried to get sensible prices from here, ebay and mkivs so hopefully they're reasonable, feel free to ask questions or make sensible offers though.

Gti headlights - with fogs and all bulbs, some pitting from stones - £80 pair
Gti rear lights - RBBR ones, bulbs and holders included - £50 pair
Front bumper - good condition inc valance and lower grills - £60
Front grill - good condition - £20
Rear bumper - had respray at some point, and a small knock, inc valance with cutuot for towbar -£50
Wing mirrors - electric/heated blue glass, few scratches and scuffs to be expected - £40 pair

150tdi turbo - reconditioned only 3k miles ago, cost me 400 at the time - £300
Turborevs smic - inc custom DIY turbo pipes, clamps, 1.8t pancake - £150
Allard EGR delete - £40
Decat - only 3k miles done, inc new centre clamp - £80

GT TDi recaro style seats - cloth, blue centres all in good condition and clean - £100
Arm rest - black cloth, new clip and spring - £40
Alpine component speakers - cost 200 pro fitted for previous owner - £70
Steering wheel - 3 spoke leather - £50
Black leather knob - 6 speed, small amount of wear. - £20

Prices are cash on collection or at a Douglas bader meet. Might post smaller parts but not big things like bumpers. Am located in IP9. Anything not on the list make me an offer. I will see PMs quicker than this thread as I get email alerts.

I'm giving you guys the first choice, will put stuff on ebay and mkivs so if you want Anything be quick.

Cheers
Tom

A few people have asked for pics via PM, but its easier just to stick them here so everyone can see, copied across from dubgen, some of the smileys probably dont work -

Head lights - few stone chips as you can see, but will come with those awesome blue bulbs!

Grill - No cracks, bit or surplus polish!

Front bumper - very tidy, think its had a respray at some point as the valance doesn't quite sit perfect on the drivers side as you can see. The only mark on it is the passenger side in the pic.

These are the wheels, 16", with VW centre caps that dont look great tbh - any idea if they're off a Bora? Or the name of them? They have nearly new tyres all round.

Wing mirrors - most of the marks are actually bug splats, but there are a few stone chips to be expected.

Rear bumper - Again, really tidy for its age, deffo had a respray as theres over spray on the numberplate lights lol, but a good match anyway, must've been pro done.

Seats - They don't picture well tbh, very clean, no rips or bolster wear at all. Rear seats are down with stuff on atm so didnt get a pic but can assure you they're just as good, although one of the little plastic pull tabs has broken on one half of the bench...doesnt really make a difference, but I like to be honest lol.

And the armrest

Not sure if anyone wants my knob..... Wink Poor pic but I just wanted to get that joke in. Tongue

ESP/Hazards/Heated window buttons, climate panel if its any use and easy to remove, and the cup holders, the JVC stereo I am keeping for now though.

Drivers vent and light switch - could be useful for someone to butcher it for a boost gauge.

Clocks - work fine, I guess the milage is stored on them like it is other cars, so milage is 134,649.

Cruise control/indicator stalk

Leather steering wheel (someone does already have dibs on this iirc)

Brakes, 288mm I think (cant fit 14s over them anyway!), loads of life left in pads and discs, have only done about 8k since they were changed!

Turbo - best pic I could get atm! Was refurbed only about 3k ago, its a 150TDI turbo, great upgrade for smaller PDs. Also, the solid oil line was new at the time too (costing over £30!) so that will come free with the turbo if you want it.

And lastly for now, pipercross panel filter, done around 4k miles, can have it with the airbox too for the right price!
