right, just got my new wheels on and im really pleased with them apart from since the last time i had them on ive had it lowered another 25mm so now the tyres are scrubbing with any weight in the car.
ive had a look round derby and carnt find anyone to do it.
just wondered if any going to fcs/camping has or can get hold of a arch roller and do my car for me as i aint got a clue on how its done. rewards will be given in beer and reach arounds.
anyone????

I know dumdum has one but he isn't going now so ummmm...............could maybe see if he will send it up with someone he trusts?!
I wouldn't be risking cracking the paint though doing it at FCS!

I think kris has dumdums roller. He did mine. Only problem is you need a power supply so you can heat the paint as you roll it.
Mine needed a bit of filler and sanding.

Mine needed a bit of filler and sanding. i got one of them things that you plug into your fag lighter and them you can plug a normal plug into it. i can bring that if it helps.

Have to jack the car up and be secure. Without it sinking in the mud.

Jack car, bolt on to hub where wheel goes and wind it out until its touching the arch, run it round and then wind it out a bit more and repeat until you have the arches looking how you want

Kris is bringing his by the way so you might want to save you mate some money and not hire one.

To Clarify... I have dumdum's roller sitting by the workshop door ready to put in car 2moro.
Dumdum has told me that I'm to give him a cut of what I make from using it. Although saying that, its hard to charge for something that damages paintwork. I did a flatarch 106 yesterday after lowering it, mainly a roll but a small flare came naturally. Only about a 1cm piece of paint came off from the invisible part of the arch after heating.
Marks arches had to be re-worked with filler as I don't think we did a good enough job of cleaning arches first, this made outward pointing dents.
I don't mind helping whoever to do it, or doing the main part for them but I don't want que's for doing it 'cos I'm going to have a break from work and with the missus, I've not had a single day off in nearly 3 weeks, not even a sunday. And I cba getting dirty.
You need to undo shocks if lowered otherwise the roller won't fit. Sometimes still need to force the trailing arm down. A dummy shock would be perfect!

Yeah to add
- 306 paint always seems to crack even with heat (but itll crack on the inside so just hammerite it) other cars are alot better.
- If your car is stupid low you need to push the trailing arm down or the roller is too big.
- If your arches are full of filler, rust or other shit the finish will be shit and youll end up with lumps.
Oh and it is a proper body shop spec roller, not a homemade skateboard wheel on a jack and a wheel spacer.
I was charging people £20-£40 to borrow it before it went on long term loan to Kris.
