i've been trying to get a good friends xsara picasso going, his wife passed away unexpectedly recently of a heart attack, he doesn't drive, car has stood for last 4 weeks, battery was flat, so i took it off and charged it, turns over well enough but will just not fire, tried a bsi reset, no joy, no lift pump on this so gave hand primer a good pump, can see fuel in the pipes, at a bit of a loss really, car is on an 07 plate so probs worth sub a grand, he's selling it but can't justify paying to get it lifted to a garage and diagnostic bills too . . . .
car was running fine prior to her passing,
any thoughts will be appreciated, cheers men x

Sometimes hand priming isnt enough they can be proper tw@ts IF the fuel has drain back or filter changed.. We use a BIG syringe in work that will suck up over a litre.. Fuel pipe back on and they go. If its only being sold try some easy start/wd40/brake cleaner/lynx body spray etc

Try a different battery, if that one went flat in four weeks it was on it's way out anyway and may not be putting out enough voltage for the ecu to be happy. I take it nothing else has been touched in the meantime, nobody has been fiddling in there to try and start it?

Tow start it I'd say my missis had one and after I'd done some work on it, it was the same flattened the battery twice towed it and away it went.
