Well, I'm sorry to tell everyone that the car has been SOLD Sad

That is the last photo before the keys were handed over to the new owner.

The decision to sell was a hard one, but overall I don't feel too upset about it. I've had a lot of fun in this car, and its done me well. With the questions of "what's next", I'm sorry to disappoint, but I have nothing else planned in regards to a fun/drift car.

True indeed, but not with my own money. Its my sponsored drive for 2017. Originally the idea was to keep my s14 as a fun/practice/backup comp car & the s15 as 2017 comp car, but I can no longer afford the upkeep of the s14 myself

Yes, that's correct. Its their car, they will store it, and its all down to them to fund it. That being said, they are fairly open minded on engine choice & styling, so I should have a lot of my own say in the way the car looks & drives. I just hope it gets built in time for the 2017 season!

I would say cheapest way is a BMW we picked up a e46 for 600 and welded diff its my misses car and she drifts it well lol definitely not a s14 money pit haha

Not the trans but the drive shafts yes saying that my mate has a 2.2 diesel merc open different and managed to snap shaft lol

As said above, when you weigh everything up, purchase price, modification price, ease of parts, reliability etc you can't beat a 328/325/323 BMW E36/E46.

Weld diff, £130 coilovers (brand new), fake deep dish steering wheel and boss (£50) and your up there with the S14's/Skylines etc. Only difference being you'll be lacking power for the 3rd/4th gear swoops. Saying that at least you can go completely 110% balls deep and not care if you smash it. Reshell only costs £100-400.

Yeah its a shame, but as said, hopefully I will be back behind a wheel driving as a sponsored driver for 2017 season!

A BMW/MX5 route is an option to keep drifting cheap, but at the moment I feel fine knowing that I'll be saving my money instead of using it up on drifting! An average event / 1 day drifting in my s14 was costing approx £1000, without damages/parts taken into consideration. That is purely just tyres, fuel & event costs, which is pretty insane!

Yes, a little. But no where near as much as what drifting does. I use/used my car on the road plenty, no issues. The only issues I kept having a few times over was driveshaft/CV joint exploding. This was 99% down to how low I run the car rather than welded diff putting extra stress on things. The diff doesn't help, but running the car low is the main culprit. I uprated the CV joints/shafts & diff to Skyline R33 GTST items which are stronger & have a better designed CV joint
