Hello all.
I've spent the last 4 years with Adrian Flux, so am a bit out of touch with normal insurance. I'm not (drastically) modifying the Volvo for at least a year, so will be going with a non-specialist insurer.
Who's good? I've had a quick look on the comparison sites, and the usual suspects come out on top, generally (elephant, admiral, bell etc etc), does anyone have any recommendations?
It'd be good if I were with someone who wouldn't mind a few cosmetic modifications, although all the stuff I'd like to do is using OEM Volvo parts, so don't know if I even need to declare it, technically? I'd like to lower it eventually, but if that's going to throw a spanner in the works then I'll just hold out for a year.
I assume I can still play them off against each other to knock my price down, and blag as many perks as I can, but is there anything different about these companies compared to the companies I've been getting quoted by on the 306 for the last few years?
Finally, is there anything I can throw at Flux to stop them from screwing me over quite so badly when I cancel my policy with them? They basically want to give me about 20% of what I paid them back, even though I'm only half way through my policy, which sucks, and has really tainted my view of them, to be honest. They've said they wont insure the Volvo unless it's modified, so I don't have a choice other than to cancel the policy.
Cheers chaps.
