Considering he already has all the parts (so costing him nothing to fix it!) £700 didnt seem too bad to me.
I reckon if he does make an offer he would be driving it away for around the £650 mark. thats still alot of car for the money!
Very true...or buy ginge's for a bit more, then use your time and bits to make it minty mc mint mint!

He'd get it much cheaper than that.

Had another look at the car, read through the massive stack of service history and previous mot's and had a look over it again.
Handed over £650 for it which for the sake of a beam which I already have and a decent service I think it's an absolute bargain. Ignoring the dented wing the car is immaculate, looking down the side of the car it's totally straight and paint is in great condition.
Plans are to swap the beam ASAP, give it a decent service, new drives side wing then just enjoy the hell out of it
Collecting it on Sunday morning

I will be changing it pretty soon, was last done at about 110, so should safely have 6k left until it definitely needs doing....
But non cambered beam and service everything should get it off to a good start

How many miles will gti6 cam belt do before needing change?

I think when the gti6 was launched the cambelt change interval was 60k which turned out to be too long, que loads of snapped belts and unhappy gti6 owners, so Peugeot revised the belt change intervals to every 30k, it's a pretty drastic reduction but guess it was their way of covering their ass

Makes me even more nervous about mine. I don't want to waste the money doing cam belt for it to fail on so much for mot, but I don't wanna risk taking it to mot on cam belt that could be who knows how old but sat for about 6-7 years.
