Front shocks are knacked so what do people think is best:-
- oem dturbo direct replacements
- GSF supplied GTI 6 replacements
- 2nd hand oem GTI 6
Will be looking to source 30mm lowering springs and will replace bearing and top mount.
Thoughts please...

I found the oem replacement to be better and worth the money on my car.
The gsf and Eurocarparts patten shocks weren't as firm as the oem ones from the dealers.
I think the dampers for the dturbo trim cars are firmer and gsf and the like don't supply the same type, just the bog standard dampers.

Bilstein B4.
I just ordered some for £96 delivered (pair).
Bilstein state it's OK to use these with lowering springs (max. 40mm)
Available widely on eBay for £104, I used spring-loaded.co.uk and saved another £8.
Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.

If you're quick, MotorsportWorld are selling Bilstein B4s for a Xsara at £40ish per corner.
