Headunit pre outs

Got given a headunit for my sub in the estate just a basic setup. It has 1 pair of pre outs but there labels "back" as in back speakers but there is no "sub" labeled preout like past units I use.

Can these be used for subs or will it just try using my sub as a speaker

Considering you were given it id just head down to halfords and get a cheapish one with sub pre outs to save the hassle

It'll probably be fine, if you're running them with an amp just set that channel to low pass filter and it'll only play the bass notes anyway

Ye amp to 1 sub.

there maybe a setting choice in thr headunit menu to switch to sub output

however you should be able to set the amp suitably

I tryd to read the manual online but could not find anything mentioned about them at all

Just put them in, and put the AMP in LPF like Midnight said. Should be fine.
