Nimrods onto 306?
#1
hi all,

can anyone tell me whether a set of 16" nimrods off a 206 gti will fit straight onto the hubs on a 306 hdi or will they need spigot rings/spacers etc?

thanks

10mm or bigger iirc
You will also need extended wheel bolts

You can get away with 5mm on the rear and nothing on the front. But it looks shit. Especialy id you have a lowered car.

10mm all round is ok but personaly id go 15mm on the rear and 10mm on the front

Cheers, to order them would I just measure the stock ones then add 10-15mm depending on spacer size? Wanting locking ones might get some of those McGuard ones

Not lowered yet but will be soon after they are on so spacers it is! Can get some decent hubcentric ones off the bay (10mm front 15mm rear) for £85 posted so fairly reasonable, cheers Smile

Am I right in thinking they have the same centre bore?

The wheels are the same center bore yes

Its 13mm spacers you want all round to make it the same offset as the 306 as the wheels are ET31 and the 306 uses ET18. 31-18=13mm

Is that £85 posted with bolts cos if so thats VERY good. I was paying £37 a pair for spacers alone.

Make sure you get the right sort of bolts as pug wheels take flat seat bolts not the taper seat bolts that you often get given. If you use the taper seat bolts youll f*ck your wheels and they will work loose over time as the bolt damages the wheel.

Going to go for a bit wider stance I think so may even go 15 front and 20 on the rear to fill the arches out a bit more, or would this cause rubbing on the arches on full lock? Not dropping it stupidly low, just so the arches sit well over the wheels, I want the car to handle reasonably well and also be practical for every day use.

IIRC the 15mm ones I saw are made by JJC but they come with tapered bolts so I'll have to get some others. They are £38.30 off eBay, and the 20mm ones are also by JJC and cost £44.71 so roughly it's £82 and free delivery Big Grin

Would 2 sets of these do the trick? 55mm long so seems like plenty of thread

clicky

Cheers

15mm F and 20mm R will give good stance. You might rub, you might not depends on tyres and beam camber.

Those bolts will work but are a bit of a bodge. IIRC 55mm will be a bit long. You need the depth of the wheel plus the depth of the spacer and the depth of the disc then 8 turns into the hub (10mm). There's no proper longer peugeot style ones on ebay. IIRC really good ones are hard to come.

Try www.speedshack.co.uk and Steve will be able to sort you out everything you need.
