So my car has developed a hairline crack in the screen about 6-8 inches long on the passengers side from bottom up. And it's booked in for a replacement on Saturday, but until then is the car still safe to drive? I'm not all clued up on windscreens and don't really know how much hammer they can take etc. Cheers!

if its a crack its bound to get bigger and bigger, tbh i wouldn't drive it until the replacement is in as if you get pulled over with a broken screen im sure it will be alot of unwanted hassle

Yep a cracked windscreen is a mot fail so technically a mot void. When i did the screen on the Kia, i had to have a hire car for a week until they could get a screen because it technically voided the insurance because it was un roadworthy....but then my work are well OTT on H&S bollocks!
