Right I have been looking in to puting a intercool on to my hdi can you use any size intercooler been looking at astra vxr one or sum think that sort of size
Am not a big fan of big intercoolers on the front of diesel

yeah any size will do. Look in the guides section theirs a few on intercoolers and front mount hdi's

Depends entirely what your target is. Are you stopping at stage 1.5, in which case the oem one from the 406/c5 will do, or are you going stage 3 with mad fuelling to match?

Depends on what you want, small is better for response as long as its big enough to do the job. A really big intercooler can give as much as 500rpm in lag.

After a bit of power like one I have been looking at take up about half of the rad give or take

Have a look at the thread on this from a couple of days ago - i posted a load of links with some intercoolers that would fit the hdi well.
