Heater blower motor speed issue

When I have the blower set to max(most of the time as the matrix is blocked and needs replacing) the motor changes speed with the revs. This only happens on max setting.
Is the dash panel or the motor fubar'd or is there a rheostat somewhere that may be at fault and I can change? If so where and how easy a job is it?

On the pass side under the scuttle panel and behind the so called pollen filter should have spares but only £14 if that new on eBay last time I looked.

You using the heated rear screen while it does it?

Ahh - scuttles gotta come off again at some point anyway sort that washer pipe out lol. Wasn't there a thread on the other site about cleaning and adding filters? as that's a job that may as well be done whilst the scuttle is off lol.
