twin fans wont work

Hey new to this and looking for sum advice on my peugeot 306 1.4 meridian has ne1 got ne ideas y my car overheats wen it crawling in traffic it normally runs at about 80 but wen crawling its nearly in the red and wen i turn air con on my fans kik in sumtimes but not always has ne1 got ne solutions b4 i go spendin money which i may not need thanks

fan switch in the thermostat housing. or the coolant needs bleeding.

Where bouts is the thermostat housing

ehhhmmmm on the 1.4, not 100% sure, but at a guess, if you follow the pipe that comes from the top right hand side of the rad (passenger side) to where it goes into the block, its normally there. should have a couple of wires going to plugs on the top
