eBay exhaust silencers?

I am looking om eBay for silencers. I have a 2.5" straight through exhaust but due to the fact I have changed shifts at work recently I am leaving and coming back at silly times so could do with quieten in it down a bit.
Are the 2.5" universal ones on eBay decent? Thank

How much are they compared to boxes from manufacturers/suppliers that are known as decent? As that will pretty much be your answer - if it's cheap, it's cheap for a reason.
