HDi woes
#1
So, at PPC I got the car plugged in with Jonny as I was having issues with the fuel pump cutting and switching the car off.
Presented these codes:
P0220 - TPS
P0120 - TPS
P0230 - Primary Fuel Pump

I've cleaned the TPS but it is still throwing out those codes, assuming this is just knackered and will need a new one..

After clearing them I was unable to replicate the fuel pump failure for a while, however it has started happening again and the car is now misfiring too.

During the time the fuel pump was dying I was running a stage 2 map at 14psi.
Since then I have upped the boost and am running 18 psi on the same map.
I have since uploaded a limited torque map to see if I could replicate the failure, and have been unable to, however the misfiring is getting worse.

I'm going to assume this is just straight linked to the map, and the pumps need to be replaced..

Has anyone else experienced anything similar to this?

Is it a part throttle misfire, can be cured with boost?

Stage 2 fuelling should raise boost to about 15 or 16.

I ran stage 2 with stock boost for months with no misfire. Replace tps and go from there

TPS can cause misfire.

Just about to add that ^^^ replace your tps before chasing alternative faults.

And fyi p0230 isn't the fuel pump, it's the primary circuit - ie it can be anything on the hp side of the fuelling system. In most cases it does turn out to be the pump tbf, but worth a bit of testing first - injectors were my problem.
