the time has come to think about selling old faithfull. basicly i never use it any more and hate to see her sat gathering dust so im thinking about selling.
some of you might know this car but for those who dont heres a little info.
1.6 8v with 97000 miles.
smooth bonnet, grill, bumper (all done by body shop)
16 inch alloys (7.5j with 195/45/16 so a little stretch). the fronts are low so might need replacing and the wheels would benefit from a refurb).
lowered 60mm on front with jamex springs. lowered about 70/75mm on the back with up graded dampers.
sportex back box.
new cam belt, a/c pump, tentioner pully and all belts done in the last 1000 miles.
clear side indicators, mist jets, aero wipers, gti spoiler, de badged and de wipered, led blue dials, jvc cd player, fli front speakers.
proberlby more but carnt remember.
bad bits....
big dent at the back.
glove box broke and is screwed to keep it shut.
slight knocking from fron drivers side (drop link ?????)
paint stated to crack on bonnet but dosent look bad really
and proberbly needs new break pads as advisory for last mot.
this car was bought new from my farther and has been in the family since. iv owned it nearly 4 years.
whats it worth and is anyone interested.

Mot it mate. If you dont, its probably not even worth £500. Bang a mot on it and i reckon you will get £8-900 for it.
Will say ive seen this car in the flesh and with exception for the dent in the back, its absolutely mint! Looks lovely.

Imo you'd be much better off returning it to near standard, whacking an mot on it and flogging it then.. you'll make a lot more money back

IMO it's probably worth £600 even with an mot. End of the day it's a 1.6 5dr with a few mods and needs attention to a couple of bits.

This car is really lovely. I can vouch that who buys this car wont be dispointed. It actually gleems in the sun. Just needs a bit of tlc to bring it back to its glory.
If you break kingy. How much for bumper?

Being a 1.6, that's what most randomers want (or 1.4s)........but they'd want it standard too though.
I'm struggling to see the market for your car in all honesty, as a normal 1.6 with mot, about £750ish, but as it is you've gotta find someone that wants a modded car.....that's not quick....
Also that dent will really put people off, due to where it is. If its a f*cked bumper or wing, no-one cares, they don't even cost a tenner these days, but being in a non-replaceable part is a pain.
Good luck with it though mate.

No, because they can't afford the mods on the insurance.....
I had a modded 1.4 at 18, was such a stupid idea. I coulda got a much nicer car now if I'd saved that money instead of spending two and a half grand insuring a modded 1.4 because I didn't check insurance before buying it....
