I have fitted a 1.9 engine in the 205 but the revcounter plugs do not match, planing to cut them off and put some connections on, but will the 306 sensor work with the 205 clocks and has anyone already done it?

I'm going to do this tomorrow. If you look the 205 loom to clock only has 2 wires and 3 on the sensor. Just need to work out which ones it uses.
I've had a XUD9 early phase 1 306 engine dropped off and I removed the sensor and it's identical to the 205 one anyway

Mine is the other way around, 3 to the clocks and 2 on the sensor. but the 306 sensor has got 3, i don't want to just try connecting them tho
the three on the car loom is, Green/yellow, green and yellow, the 306 sensor has got a red and a while and its also got a uncored shield

Why don't you just change the electronic reader on the flywheel? Aren't they the same just the plug different?

Ok so I wired it up using 2 of the 3 plugs and it work fine.
