Anyone local to Nottingham have any tool they can use to get codes as I'm completely stumped what could of
Gone wrong on the car now. All I've done is change clutch. Thought we damaged the crank sensor changed it but still don't want to fire but it turns over.

Check the fuel cut off hasn't been pressed maybe?

Also check all electric plugs are back in thier right place!

Fuel relay plugged back in? As Tom said, double check the plug to the cut off switch. They can look like there plugged in but not making connection.

Checked the switch still nothing. We checked the injectors and were getting fuel through. But not starting still :/.

Easy it just isn't :p. I've been told about immobiliser on fuel pump? Any ideas?

Right then lads and ladettes.
Finally got my computer to connect and here's my codes.
P0220 throttle/pedal position sensor/switch b circuit
P0380 glow plug/ heater circuit a
P0403 exhaust has recirculating control circuit

Throttle I know about. Egr is removed.
So glow plugs or heater circuit.
Any one got any ideas along this line that would stop my car from starting?
Like my dad says even if it was the glow plugs it should still bump start?

I thought glow plugs were to help start in cold temps..

You're right Kyle, Glow plugs are only to aid cold starting. The theory is though, direct injection common rail engines don't need them, so I can't see why they'd stop you from starting at all. I wouldn't be surprised with a shit, smoky idle on a cold morning if none are working though lol, done it by accident myself once.

Well that's what code I'm getting so just going to check them over and things. I think soon there's going to be. Breaking thread as I'm almost out of ideas.

Even a single worn glow plug will bring up that fault code. Did you change the CKP (crank positon sensor) for a brand new one or not? I had a look at the the CKP on rowells estate, no damage but was coated in metal filings so is a magnet sensor. The air gap between that and the flywheel teeth only has to be a tiny bit wrong to mess up the ECU readings. So if I was you I'd make sure that sensor is exactly the right one! Smile

Well we changed it for a second hand one dude. But I get what your saying and may be worth a try. I never had the glow plug code come up though before.

Hmmn, not making much sense this. My HDi did something similar once, I parked it up and left it 10 mins after a good spanking, and it just cranked and cranked and cranked. Tried 4 or 5 times then it just started and never did anything since.

You could try jump starting it, give the starter motor that extra bit of oomph. I'd be interested to see if there was any fuel pressure related mishaps though, such as low rail pressure as the requirements to start on a HDi are simple. As per other thread it wouldn't hurt to check the plug on your TPS for corrosion.

If you have your ELM try data logging the cam and crank signals to see if they are working, and seeing what the rail pressure is reaching on cranking. Struggling to think what you can have disturbed during a clutch change.
