Abs sensors?
#1
Are they all the same? I need a pair for the rear beam on the rallye and I'm not paying £60 a sensor, mainly because I can't afford to haha. So does anyone know if they are the same? Will make the search a little easier

yes they are the same left and right, are you 100% sure its the sensor? the cable on the sensor itself is pretty sturdy unlike the rest of the wiring loom.

It's more my new beam doesn't have any sensors so I need some to fit haha. My ones won't come out of my old beam. So have to source new ones. Are the the same through the range? Like 1.6 sensor the same?

I purchased two of these as couldn't get the sensors off my old swing arms.  http://www.autosensors.co.uk/en/519-abs-...54546.html

Was a bit of a risk as the company had terrible reviews on Trustpilot.  They turned up fairly quickly though and work fine.  Gave the car a good test drive on Sun & no ABS warning light!

I assume the sensors are the same for all rear disk models. The drum models use a different sensor though. 4545.46 is what fits the XSi and is almost certainly the same for a GTI-6 or Rallye.

all disc rears are the same.

you can just swap the whole bracket off your beam.

....as in the outlined.  They're the brackets that the calipers also bolt to.  Need to remove the hubs from the old swing arms to get them off.  If you want to keep the old hubs it's best to press out the stub axles to preserve them.  If you try to pull them off the bearings will split.
