Wondering if there is actually any need for this or any benefits/disadvantages to having one installed as the newer HDI 90s do without these, worth getting the bit from a HDI 90 without a changing over?
Haven't had any problems but sometimes get a strange juddering noise when priming, guessing it could be this, but I rarely get the noise.
Cheers

The HDI's with the electric fuel heater are plumbed slightly different so they don't suffer as much but I still get a bit of noise on the estate (which has the electric fuel heater and no damper).
My Dturbo didn't come with one from the factory and had the damper fitted under warranty when it started a making a right racket.

you can get a brand new one on ebay for about £40 iirc,
