Just removed these from my 406, they work spot on but I just can't get along with them, can't see shit on back roads due to the colour. £20 plus post.

what temp range are the lamps?

Er.. I don't know. I reckon 8k, maybe 10. Will it be written on the bulbs? I couldn't see anything on the ballasts.

8 or 10k will be visibly bright blue and you'll not see much all.

it'll be on the base of the light units themselves, ballasts are pretty much universal.
