High biting point
#1
Just fitted a 306 hdi box and 306 gti6 clutch cable.I now have a high biting point and been told that the clutch cable is auto adjustable and cannot be adjusted. Is there a solution to this problem? If not I may get a custom clutch cable made that's got manual adjustment on it.

Is it an xud style clutch in there as in pull type? If so you can get a zx cable thats manually adjusted Smile

It's in a 306 gti6 hence the Gti6 clutch cable. Is the hdi cable the same fitment to pedal as a gti6 cable. Also does it have manual adjustment.I also have a helix paddle clutch fitted. This did not make a difference when I had a gti6 box fitted.
Also if the hdi cable I'd the answer to my problem what part number is it would not want it if it's a got auto adjusting.Ideally I want a manual . adjustable cable if it's possible
Cheers

Can you supply me with the part number please. If it's manually  adjustable then my problem will be solved once fitted .Yes the clutch is the same as a gti6 ie pull type.

hdi cable is different as its a push type clutch.

if its the same then you have an XUD clutch release system not hdi, in which case there's nothing wrong with the pedal, and was likely just too low previously.

The biting point was spot on last time.No issues as stated the biting point now is right at the top.of the pedal. This is the issue I have is there a cable available with manual adjustment is so do you know which one and the part number please.Otherwise I will get one made as this auto adjustable cable is not working out.

To much messing around midifying a zx cable etc.I will get the Gti6 cable out and get one custom made with a manual adjustment. That way I will get the right fitment as per the Gti6 cable but with adjustment.Which will allow me to set the biting point exactly where I want it.

there's no messing, 306 was built on a zx floorpan, they just used a different grommet on the bulkhead.
