I have just bought a 306 GTI 1997 110k. Lovely! It has a K&N induction kit which I want to put back to a standard airbox. Do KN filters oil up MAFs like they do on HDIs? Is the standard airbox the same as on any other model of 306 or 406 etc for that matter? Anything to make it easier to get hold of one.
Thanks Kevin

There's no MAF on the GTi6. The standard airbox is not the same as the other 306s, it's a rusty metal tin with some plastic resonator boxes and a long grill mounted snorkel. There's usually some on ebay though, didn't know they were that hard to get now.

The GTi/Rallye air box is specific to these models. Consists of the filter holder, a plastic resonator box, the snorkel and the pipe from the filter box to the throttle body, which also has a take off pipe for a breather pipe, which 9 times out of ten is broken.
