So... I started a bet with a group of friends that we could all build fun & fruity little french track cars each for under a grand!
So i started with a £100 saxo VTR and so far have spent £50 on some wheels from bash, and £20 on some tyres from work, then another £150 for a donor vehicle from work... Currently well within budget!
Current spec (some parts i already had lying around and fitted)
1.6 8v 100bhp motor
4 branch tubular exhaust manifold
Supersprint 2" decat exhaust system
Lowered excessively all round
Powdercoated yellow cyclones with 185/55/15 budget tyres
Gti6 front brakes 283mm
Full interior.
Future spec (before pugfest mostly)
1.6 16v 120bhp motor (from donor saxo VTS)
4 branch tubular exhaust manifold
Supersprint 2" decat exhaust system
Lowered 50mm all round
Powdercoated yellow clones with 195/45/15 federal SS595 tyres
Wilwood 4pot midilite calipers with 280mm discs
Stripped interior with bucket seats & 4 point harnesses
Strut braces
Some pics of how it stands currently and the donor VTS
The idea is to make a cheap and disposable track / general hooning car and attend as many possible events etc with it and the lads as a group

Having the space is handy but its our jobs within the industry and extensive contacts that make it exceptionally easy to achieve this goal.

Less talking.. more buying hundreds of cheap 106's / saxo's / 306's / clio 172's etc etc
these aren't the 595 RS-R but should be ample for abit of light track use

odd question? I was meaning the donor car, as I cannot see much of it been useable once the engine is pulled.

I need the complete looms, fuel system etc etc its easier to strip the car meticulously myself, the boys at work can drop an engine & box in 20 mins but its not pretty.

Lots of annoying small differences between vtr and vts looms and other bits. It's so much easier and quicker just to get a complete vts donar like he's done and swap everything onto the vtr shell

Well with the rust i found on it over the weekend Its gonna be a close call wether i buy a cheapo mig and just plate the fucker up and carry on or break it for bits.
Its is hilariously extensively rotten on the front end maybe an idea to keep the goodies and find a cleaner shell.
