Having sent my Ph.1 XSi in for one exhaust work, the car now has a slight problem with the gear linkage / gear selection. I know they removed part of the linkage to fit the exhaust so got to work out what's gone back incorrectly.
My question is: the long gearshift selection bar has a cylinder at one end, in to which the large ball from the gearshift control return locates. Should there be a bush or cup in this cylinder that makes the ball locate firmly? On my car, the ball is now a fairly loose fit inside the cylinder and I can't remember what it was like before.
Thanks, Simon
