Quick question when changing the master cylinder, do people change the rubber seal between the master cylinder and the tank? If the master cylinder was in good working order with no leaks and it was changed straight away from one car to the next and torqued correctly? Just because the seal looks quite hard to remove with damaging the piston..

I've changed a few master cylinders for people over the years straight off scrap cars without changing the seals ( ideally I wanted too but the customers always right) without any failures.
