Residential parking cost
#1
Hi All,

I'm in a place where a resident from the flats above work have asked whether they can pay to use a space in our work car park instead of parking in the street.

The car park is covered by 24 hour cctv and we do have space for their 1 car.

My question is though what is a reasonable price? It's just outside City centre nottingham.

I'm tempted to do this 1). Coz its a bit of extra money as I can throw the money in a pot for the staff at xmas and 2). It's a nicely modified fiesta St

As I've never lived, and never will, in a city of any kind I've always had loads of driveway and quiet free road to park on so don't really know how it works. If anyone could shed some light on the topic of much appreciate it.

Id say its worth a couple of hundred a year but could just say to him, give us £100 a year but there is by no means any security your car won't get damaged or stolen, no insurance and all that shit. Just make sure you cover yourself!

I have to car share to get a space but the lass I pick up is on my route and brings me a bacon sandwich. So I'd say a sandwich a week. Smoked bacon mind you...

Does that help?

Your up north so its probably not alot to park in most cities. I know some london boroughs are up in the £100s

I'd say £100 with no guarantees and no rights to view your CCTV would be fair.

It costs me £60 per day when I'm working in Finsbury.

I'd say £100 per year is fair. But I'd push for £150.

£60 a day!? Confused

Can't remember the last time I paid to park anywhere, would rather walk a few mins extra and park on a free street lol. I know that's probably not possible in bigger cities though!

On a serious note, there's a pay car park opposite my work, just south of the city centre, and it's £3 a day.

That'll get you an hour on a meter in Clapham.

£2.20 an hour in West Kensington so I always make sure I'm leaving before the restrictions come in.

That seems cheap considering its London tbf...  The NCP in Ipswich charges £3.10 an hour!
