Stupid french 405 wiring..
#1
Well anyhow, the 405 has decided to fight me every step of the way since Ive put the xud9 lump into it. Changed the clutch cable, took me 8 hours!! But once you do it, you realise its a 30 minute job.. Dodgy Anyway, onto wiring and stuff, if anyone has a 1992 405 (or 205, 309 etc etc if they used the same looms) nad, with the original engine in it, take as many pictures of the wiring loom as your telephone will hold and send them to me Rolleyes Now the real problem is, I have most of the wiring sorted, except 2 wirings which both come from the heater plug relay don't know where they go, but the car was still turning over with key no problem, the relay I think itself is fubar'd, as the heater plugs aren't getting any power. I put a live wire from the battery to the plugs for ten seconds then removed it and went and tried to fire it, I turned key it made a half rotation then a click and all the lights on the dash went out, it wont turn over at all just makes one individual click, then the battery light comes on but really dim? I checked the earths on the starter and alternator and there live?!?! Im really stumped as ive checked all relays, none smell or look burnt? All fuses are 100%! Looks like im going to have to start stripping the entire loom off all protective wrap to look for crossed wire's, just really getting fed up with the car in generally tbh Undecided.. Would it make a difference the battery charger was on the battery when I tried to turn it over when it happened? Some pictures..
