Check for air ingress into the fuel system as well, is a common problem.

yeah thats waaaaaaay too much hassle for really no gains.
just get the mix right/decent oil. Mine started bang on every morning last year all through that snow, and that was 90% veg and 10% diesel as I had a load of diesel given me in jerrys. But I had sorted all the little air ingress places and sorted decent plugs n battery. 2/3turns of the engine and away with a little chuckle to itself for 10/15seconds then fine. I will have to see how it goes when it's colder. Last winter in d turbo I put 13 liters of derv in a full tank of veg and it was ok, but I was having issues a few weeks ago so had to start mixing petrol and it's been ok since. See what it's like when it's colder
