Id better add that they are a vac actuated turbo with a 1 piece hot side so you cant bodge on a 306 exhaust flange even if the manifold flange is pretty close to perfect.

It's a completely different flange and takes up alot more space even if it does point in roughly the right direction. The cold side pipe could be a bit big too.
You could hybrid it with a standard HDi GT1544 and make a good turbo for a little bit more power on a stage 2 map but the cheapest working one on ebay is currently £130 plus post. If you wanted to do it there is many cheaper, better and lower mileage GT1549s to use Obviously I know nothing about this and im definitely not currently building one

Dont want to hijack the thread but what about a transit turbo? Ive got a couple of a 2.2TDI 100bhp turbo's lying around only done between 3k-14k what sort of gains or how good are they? The look small enough to fit.

Small enough to fit? Pftt you wanna go big enough so you have to make it fit!

The turbo sounds sweet on these 2.2 transits and they seem to fly for only 100ps

Thats because they have oodles of torque...
Do you know what turbo is on the transit?
