I have no idea how the hell that has happened other than if some retard has tried getting the shells out without un doing the bolts...but either way, dont use them, you could flat the area and be okish, but bound to create high / low spots on the shell, which will do it no good at all...not worth pissing around with.

You could get it welded to fill it then re bore the rod as it's only the surface the bearing sits on not the actual bearing surface but that will cost as much as a hdi lump.

If the set is going free take it and keep the good ones and then you only have to find two more.

If you got sandpaper in there and lapped it flat with your finger it would be ok- ish. I think someones obviously been smashing the rods out the top of the block with a flat screwdriver or something metal/sharpish.

I know how it happens..........that top one with small rounded dents, long extension and hammer to hit the piston through the top of the block, top and bottom one with straight lines probably a chisel and hammer.

I made sure I kept the shells in to knock mine out using the extension method as I could see what was gonna happen if not...I certainly didn't go at them with a bloody chisel though! lol
