Sure this has been asked many time but as not able to search for 3 letters it wont come up,
However got a Y reg 306 estate which has a light on the dash which wont go off,
Think it is the ABS light (Pic of a car skidding)
Any help with this, Can the light be turned off etc,
Cheers

Probably just a wheel sensor mate. If you can get on PP or proper diagnostics it will tell you which one.
Top tip, give the bolt that holds the sensor to the hub a generous coating a day before, they are only molds steel and like to round or snap off completely!

dont need a diag machine to tell which sensor it is. Firstly, jack the car up and look at the drive shafts and rear hubs. On the shafts, the rings (look like a metal band with squares cut out) can break and come away so wont give a reading. If this is the case, you can try and glue it back on but ideally its a new driveshaft.
If they all look ok, unplug the sensors one by one, put a multimeter over the pins set to vAC and spin the disc and you should get a voltage reading. If not, thats the bad sensor and good luck getting them out!!
And yes, as of April, its a fail for any orange or red lights on the dash permanently.
