I always get it lol, had 60 litres last month 4 20 quid! Lol very dented etc, had to puncture hole to get it out (15 litre metal drums)

In the summer yeah, mix it with derv in the cold otherwise it'll wax up

Sunflower oil doesn't wax up as easily as veg so should be fine straight or with only a1/4 tank of derv if temps drop to freezing or below if you really want to err on the side of caution.
Personally I think you'll be fine on straight sunflower as I've run it on my old xrdt.

I've run straight veg, and veg/derv and derv/gearbox oil, had no issues so far

90% veg, 10% petrol in the winter months - thins it right out and makes starting/high revving 50x better, has the same effect in summer but just not as profound in comparison.

Veg and sunflower are different and have different waxing temperatures different calorific values and viscosity.
There is virtually no need to use derv with sunflower oil in the UK throughout most of the year.
