Post: RE: Possible Head gasket?

90 degrees is normal in heavy traffic. They go to 97 degrees before the slow fans kick in and at 106 degrees the high speed fans kick in. But it does sound like an airlock to me

Post: RE: Boring '6/Rallye MPG question

My 6 was 90% motorway and achieved regularly around 370-430 miles without playing the red fuel light lottery. Gave her daily spankings too. They are pretty good if healthy and looked after

    Thread: 306 1.8 Service
Post: RE: 306 1.8 Service

1.8 is a great engine, I serviced mine every 10k. It depends on what type of mileage you are doing, motorway or short town trips. Obviously I would think about doing at 7k if you're doing short trips....

Post: RE: -30mm or -40mm

40mm looks better on 50 profile tyres. If it was me, and I was lowering my 6 again, I would do 40mm.

30mm will leave your clones nicely in the arch if you are on 55 profile tyres. If you are on 50 profile, I would go 40mm to get the same effect

I would not feel happy about paying more than £30
