A bit of mad advice here...! Changing a cambelt on a hdi is pretty easy...! Rubber deteriorates after 5 years, if it's a good engine might as well get it changed, if stuck ask a member here to do it f... |

There is just too much to go wrong on a modern cars. On the German cars there is just about a sensor for everything with age and wear these components will start to malfunction or picked up by the ECU... |

Sounds more like a fuel related issue, does it happen when you boot it up a hill in 5th? Mine was doing that, turned out my DIY lift pump fix was letting in air. |

I want to try the cheap solution first, took me the whole morning at a scrappy getting a windscreen out.
Will get the existing windscreen out and just give it a gentle tug with a forklift on monda... |

I must maintain in 80K miles of driving this is the only 'crash' I had.
Already sourced another windscreen, roof and bonnet.

I'm not too sure if the pillars have held up. So from the donor vehicle I'll be cutting the pillars off but wont be using them if I don't. there's defo protrusion on the first roof crossmember.

lol, heading to a scrappy tomorrow. Going to be taking the windscreen off, than chopping at the pillars and then make a cut off from the roof and then weld it on mine. Yaaay, not :/ |

I should have made it clear in the first post, the noise is definitely coming from within the engine, sounds like piston slap. |

Not the crank pulley, that's billet, all new tensionsers and pulleys on the timing side. |

Don't know of anyone here on .net been running over 300 lb/ft without box issues in the long run. Good for dyno runs, but that's box is not rated for them type of torque figures. |
