Debadge - Carlos vinyls - 20-01-2013 Is the a guide for debadgeing the front badge and How's the best way to do it RE: Debadge - Scott - 20-01-2013 FYI the guides section is for posting guides, not requesting them ![]() Best way is to heat them up a bit, then peel them off. Autoglym and some other cleaning companies provide a tar remover which is great for getting off sticker residue. RE: Debadge - Eeyore - 20-01-2013 for the front badge youll need to remove the badge and the plate behind it. You can not just filler this! You need to weld a plate across the gap as flush as possible. Then you need to apply filler and sand it down and respray it! Remember if you debadge the bonnet youll also have to smooth the grille! TO do this ideally you need a donor grille to cut a section out of. Its then a matter of fibreglassing the donor section in the gap and filling it over again. The problem with anything to do with filler really is the fact it an crack and ruin all your hard work. This is why you want to use as little filler as possible! Its a bit of work so maybe have a go at painting the badge a different colour? Most people choose antracite? It looks different and is much easier to do! RE: Debadge - C.A.R. - 21-01-2013 You used to be able to buy pre-flushed fiberglass grilles, is this no longer the case? RE: Debadge - Eeyore - 21-01-2013 (21-01-2013, 10:27 AM)C.A.R.
