Over the past month, occasionally I would go to my car and the oil, handbrake, stop and the other light have been on, intermittantly though (with no key in ignition)
Also my stereo doesnt work at all.
The dash lights are either dim or shining on full brightness and occasionally changing brightness (like a dimmer switch).
Today I went to my car, and all the said lights were on again, and my glow plug light wouldn't come on and couldnt start the car, unless i turned the key in the barrel a few times, the glow plug light would come on.
I think it might be my igntion switch or an earth problem. What do you think?

Check and clean up the dash earth and clean up the battery terminals. My friend had an issue like this turned out to be his battery was dead, could be similar thing?

sounds like a massive ground problem!
