Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - TomLum - 17-01-2013 Hi all, Most of you will know my car as the one with the Borbets.. When I bought them the outer lip was kerbed and was generally very poor on all the wheels.. So i watched this guys video and thought i would give it a go! Click mee Picture of my setup.. and the result (excuse the dirty wheel!).. Overall really happy with the results and didnt really take to long. Will use the same wheel on the car method come spring to polish up the dishes for the better weather. So for now that is all! Tom RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - Oil-burner - 17-01-2013 Haha thats epic RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - WiNgNuTz - 17-01-2013 That is a pretty cool idea, and barely any cost to it either. Bit of fuel, and a chisel if you dont already have one. May well give this a go on my Lasers, only winter wheels, so if i f*ck it up, doesnt really matter! Nice find! RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - Toms306 - 17-01-2013 Barely any cost? That was probably £60 of petrol in a '6! Is a good idea though, and result looks good. RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - gareth7 - 17-01-2013 Good idea........ what I can't believe is he's using an Irwin chisel! I use them for work and trust me, there too expensive for that lol RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - Niall - 17-01-2013 That is so pikey! Love it! RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - Scott - 17-01-2013 That's quality RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - puglove - 17-01-2013 Id be a bit weary of that :/ wheres the emergency cut off switch for when things go wrong.....................who needs a cut off when you can just loose you hand pmsl RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - TomLum - 17-01-2013 (17-01-2013, 05:28 PM)puglove Wrote: Id be a bit weary of that :/ I agreed with you when I watched the guys video but when i set it up as long as your sensible not alot could go wrong really. The car is secure on stands and your hands behind the brick. The chisel doesnt snag unless your pushing hard with it and if you are you will ruin the wheels anyway! But im sure some muppet will rip there arm off giving it a go! haha RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - puglove - 17-01-2013 Yeah i know what you mean. like you say slim change of it going wrong, but if it does its gona hurt lol RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - Matt - 18-01-2013 Might give this a go. Await "I lost my arm" thread RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - cully - 18-01-2013 Thats not the Pikey way! leaving the tyres on and doing it is Pikey! i like the idea though RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - puglove - 18-01-2013 (18-01-2013, 08:55 AM)Matt Wrote: Might give this a go. EFA RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - THE_Liam - 19-01-2013 I've got an image in my head, it's someone tripping, knocking the car of the stands and it smashing through the front wall of a house RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - darrenjlobb - 19-01-2013 hero RE: Today I removed kerbing from damaged wheels [pics] - Ruan - 19-01-2013 Well, in total honesty, it's not that bad, if you put your hand on the tyre, it'll stop since it's got a differential...
