Well I have one of these new shiny superhubs supershitehubs more like I'm on 30 mb broadband and lucky if I get 4-5 mb most of the time and the signal is shite is there any way to improve both the speed and the signal please

Tbh the superhub is shit but apparently they are starting to use a different router soon so you may be able to break it and get a new one

mine's fine, now i stopped using the so called super hub as the router, and just use it as a modem

Yup thats what we are doing and i now get 110mb over wireless which i didnt think was too bad. My old man gets bout 130 on his imac which is wired.

1gb? i didnt think they were doing 1gb yet? Not that its any use to me because i only use wifi which if i remember correctly, is upto 118mb?

Oooh cool. I know virgin offer their business customers 1.5gb internet. Wonder how long till that goes out to everyone else?

they laid their own fiber, so probably ages. There is meant to be one in Dundee, but /shrug.

But the fibre wont make a difference to the speed of the internet? Its only the bits at both end which limit the speed which if i understand correctly, are currently capable of speeds much higher than 1.5gb!
