Gti zorst - Strikeforce - 14-01-2013 So upon awaiting for my gti im going to go for a new exhaust but want it to sound awsome. What do people tend to go for nowadays i dont want it to be offensive but it does have to sound good Anybody got any vids of how theirs sounds? Cheers RE: Gti zorst - Scott - 14-01-2013 Thread moved. Magnex exhausts are pretty well rated, though Scorpion and Jetex are often considered to be the best. I've got a Longlife which I really like ![]() RE: Gti zorst - puglove - 14-01-2013 well from what your asking for above , id say a scorpion cat back would suite you nicly, peugeot also offered it as an optional extra, so is OEM ish aswell, not to load but when it warms up give a lovely note ![]() RE: Gti zorst - Niall - 14-01-2013 Another +1 for longlife. Mine is a bit too loud but the actual noise it makes is great! Pricewise, quite expensive but worth it seeing as you get a true lifetime warranty which is transferable and modifications are cheap. For example i had a new tip fitted to mine for £30. RE: Gti zorst - Curt - 14-01-2013 Mongoose on mine, sounds awesome but it is pretty loud...Matt's old Magnex was much more raspy than mine and the Mongoose is much deeper. I'm happy with it ![]() RE: Gti zorst - puglove - 14-01-2013 (14-01-2013, 05:45 PM)Niall Wrote: Another +1 for longlife. Mine is a bit too loud but the actual noise it makes is great! I always find long life too load & expensive RE: Gti zorst - Niall - 14-01-2013 They can be expensive (depends how much you want to barter with the guy in the shop) but worth every penny and they sell silencers from standard upto just a straight pipe through a box (like mine lol) RE: Gti zorst - Strikeforce - 14-01-2013 (14-01-2013, 05:55 PM)Niall Wrote: They can be expensive (depends how much you want to barter with the guy in the shop) but worth every penny and they sell silencers from standard upto just a straight pipe through a box (like mine lol) How expensive we talking? I want something m.o.t friendly as i cant be bothered switching back and forth RE: Gti zorst - Scott - 14-01-2013 Up to £500. RE: Gti zorst - puglove - 14-01-2013 Well i paid £100 notes for a scorpion 2nd hand ( not an issue BECAUSEstainless) a long will defo cost more lol RE: Gti zorst - Niall - 14-01-2013 for a entire system from the manifold back including a sports cat, i paid £430. Sounds pricy but when you add up the price of a new sportex for example and a hoffman sports cat, its really not that bad and obviously you choose how loud it is and what it looks like. For a cat back system, id expect no more than £300 RE: Gti zorst - puglove - 14-01-2013 Also strikeforce may not want to give the guy at the shop a blowie so it will never be as cheap as yours niall RE: Gti zorst - Niall - 14-01-2013 Dont need to. Just say "whats the best price you can give me?" job jobbed Doesnt mean i still didnt though RE: Gti zorst - puglove - 14-01-2013 Dirt cheap longlife http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEUGEOT-306-GTI-2-0-PETROL-COMPLETE-STAINLESS-STEEL-EXHAUST-FREE-POSTAGE-/271109839069?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3APeugeot%7CModel%3A306&hash=item3f1f67d8dd (14-01-2013, 06:02 PM)Niall Wrote: Dont need to. Just say "whats the best price you can give me?" job jobbed We all know you get every thing cheap because you give out blowies like candy on halloween RE: Gti zorst - Strikeforce - 14-01-2013 (14-01-2013, 06:00 PM)puglove Wrote: Also strikeforce may not want to give the guy at the shop a blowie so it will never be as cheap as yours niall Lol well i dont really want to go down the £4-500 route but £250 ish im happy to spend just want a nice sound really without being too chavvy Vids anyone? RE: Gti zorst - puglove - 14-01-2013 Dirt cheap longlife http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEUGEOT-306-GT...3f1f67d8dd Get this then, has a mid so wont be massivly load, and if you dont like the tip its £30 to have changed RE: Gti zorst - Strikeforce - 14-01-2013 (14-01-2013, 06:09 PM)puglove Wrote: Dirt cheap longlife http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEUGEOT-306-GT...3f1f67d8ddThanks for the link ill keep that in mind RE: Gti zorst - puglove - 14-01-2013 For the price of the above, if you put it on and it was to loud you could take it to long life have a quiter back box put on and it would still be cheaper than a new (inc cost of buying it) but still scorpion FTW RE: Gti zorst - Tom - 14-01-2013 Think a friend of mine has a miltek cat back for sale for 150quid if your interested?
