the Engine hdi to xud - Exoforces - 13-01-2013 just strip out my xud from my old car and i am puting in it my ph3 hdi estate its about the wiring on the ph3 hdi do i use the ph3 hdi loom and wire up a glow plug live on the car (the glow plug on the hdi engine only warn on very cold day being and high pressed fueling) or swaps the looms All the wiring parts for the engine alternator, starter motor and solenoid, ground cable, oil pressure switch, temperature gauge sender, thermo switch, fuel stop solenoid, glow plugs. rev clock speed clock i think thats all the wiring RE: the Engine hdi to xud - Ricky - 13-01-2013 Just swap the looms would surely be the best option. RE: the Engine hdi to xud - Exoforces - 13-01-2013 how easy is it to swap the looms over RE: the Engine hdi to xud - Dum-Dum - 13-01-2013 IIRC from doing JJ063s car just unscrew the 2 XUD loom plugs from the lower n/s chassis leg at the front and plug them into the same place on the HDi and it works. Dan! or Toms306 will explain it better. RE: the Engine hdi to xud - Exoforces - 13-01-2013 nice the one that are near the radiator off side RE: the Engine hdi to xud - 1616six - 13-01-2013 Swap the looms over at the n/s chassis leg, swap the in tank pumps, clocks you can keep but won't have revs. Swap them if its an issue Use the DT rad/pipe work too. HTH's RE: the Engine hdi to xud - Exoforces - 13-01-2013 thanks JJ0063 guess the revs i can wire up separately with the hdi clocks RE: the Engine hdi to xud - 1616six - 13-01-2013 I just stuck the ph2 clocks in to save the hassle. RE: the Engine hdi to xud - Exoforces - 13-01-2013 cool i see if i can get it working RE: the Engine hdi to xud - Ruan - 14-01-2013 Ph3 HDi clocks get the signal from the ecu, its generated by the ecu, not from the crank sensor since the HDi uses a different crank sensor... RE: the Engine hdi to xud - johnnytsa - 17-01-2013 Everything is basically the same although I've heard of people having issues with heeater plugs! The way around this is installing a switch for your heater plugs. Bestt to use a buutton so you dontt forget to switch them off! |
