RE: 106 GTi Yellow/Blaze/Black for Dtub conversion - Piggy - 09-01-2013 theres a dturbo converted 106 on the bay...going very cheap...cheap enough to consider a respray! RE: 106 GTi Yellow/Blaze/Black for Dtub conversion - puglove - 09-01-2013 Kingy is saying he'd be interested in the gti engine you will be taking out. RE: 106 GTi Yellow/Blaze/Black for Dtub conversion - HDIkyle - 09-01-2013 Don't do it to a GTI! Do it to a phase 1. People expect gti's to be quick but not a mark 1. RE: 106 GTi Yellow/Blaze/Black for Dtub conversion - strictly_perv - 09-01-2013 Mark 1 XSI shell would be a good option too, they look awesome! Kinda like a mini ph1 306 RE: 106 GTi Yellow/Blaze/Black for Dtub conversion - Bananalad - 09-01-2013 (09-01-2013, 01:58 PM)strictly_derv Wrote: Mark 1 XSI shell would be a good option too, they look awesome! Kinda like a mini ph1 306 There is one for sale local to me in miami, its like a little version of my car Anyone know what a 1.4 xsi is like to go? RE: 106 GTi Yellow/Blaze/Black for Dtub conversion - HDIkyle - 09-01-2013 There ok tbh, I fitted a 1.4 XSI to the GF Phase 1 when the 1.1 died. With the 1.1 gearbox it was good off the line but died off abit earlier than the 1.4 box would have. But the Phase 1 shell would def be the best option! Altho the break would need assessing Lol RE: 106 GTi Yellow/Blaze/Black for Dtub conversion - CJ_Derv - 09-01-2013 Yeah il let him no about engine if i find one, done want anything other than that, Main use is going to be track car with XUD not arsed about sleepers or anything lol Always loved the GTi but hate petrol with a passion!! lol RE: 106 GTi Yellow/Blaze/Black for Dtub conversion - Bananalad - 09-01-2013 (09-01-2013, 02:38 PM)HDIkyle Wrote: There ok tbh, I fitted a 1.4 XSI to the GF Phase 1 when the 1.1 died. RE: 106 GTi Yellow/Blaze/Black for Dtub conversion - Pugmarshall - 09-01-2013 Just FYI, ph1 106's are a couple of inches shorter in the engine bay.... RE: 106 GTi Yellow/Blaze/Black for Dtub conversion - ezb - 10-01-2013 base model Citroen AX would be funnier ..
