bit of a favour.. - Ricky - 07-01-2013

wondering if anyone could help me out, seeing as I will probably never have a working rev counter, could someone find out what the speed is in each gear at 5k rpm? I have a gov mod and worried about over revving it..

I think

1st = 20mph
2nd = 40mph
3rd = 70mph
4th =
5th = 120/125mph

All depends on what wheels you have as most have different wheels with different profiles.
The above is wrong as mine can do more in the gears at 5k than that apart from 3rd. Mine has small wheels which has effectively made it a short box compared to standard.

I would have said 2nd was around 50. I havnt actually got a car atm so I'm afraid I can't be of further help!

Surely the wheels are irrelevant as he'd be looking at his speedo and tachometer? 5k in any gear will read the same regardless of wheel size if you're judging it by those.

Xud section. The question is about xud and the person you reply to owns and drives an xud.... So educated guess... He's talking about a diesel

RE: bit of a favour.. - Ricky - 07-01-2013

Yeah diesel haha, clue is, well there's a few..

I know wheels will make a slight difference, i'm on 16" with 45 profile tyres. I only really need 2nd and 3rd, I will never max it in 4th anyway.

Will it really do 70 in 3rd?

Yup. Mine will do 30-70 in about 6.5 all in third gear. I'll check the video see what rpm

About 4750-4800 for a DT at 70 mph

RE: bit of a favour.. - Ricky - 07-01-2013

OK that's cool.

I will try and remember these, or even mark them on the speedo!

RE: bit of a favour.. - 4WayDiablo - 07-01-2013
