JCB 3CX Perkins(lucas pump problems) - pugtk - 04-01-2013
We having problems with our 3cx
it will start and idle fine,but it wont rev past 2000rpm, if you tap the pump it will rev out,but eventually come back down,not much power to pull itself along
Its a lucas cav pump,im going to have a look at it in the morning, i think the pump
was reconditioned not so long ago(not sure on the job quality)
I was going to clean tanks,lines,new filter and clean the gauze on the inlet pipe(which is down in the pump)
I read up that if the return pipe is blocked ,it can cause a backpressure which wont allow the fuel needed
Any ideas on this?
