Bigger Altenator for a Phase 1 - D@wson - 15-01-2012

Just wondering if I can fit a bigger alternator on my phase one as mine has failed again and started being lazy unless I rev the cock off the car but it was from the scrappies so meh.

Its a funny fitment and was Lucas originally I believe. It has the one bolt hole at the top and a long bolt through the bottom.

So is there a bigger ampage alternative?

I heard that the 406 dt had a better one. I'm sure someone will confirm this

I also think that the 406 has a bigger one, but you have a replacement one now Tongue

always useful to keep a thread open mate - some one may have the same issue in the future and wish to know what you went for Wink

He went for a standard 306 DT one, I know this because I dropped it off with him last night Wink
