Floods! - vlj - 20-12-2012

Anywhere else flooded? Can drive about 200 yards in either direction from my house before I can go no further..
I went out for a drive at 1.30 last night just to kill boredom and drove through several lakes, and it's done nothing but rain since then.

Few flooded fields but no floods on the roads Smile

RE: Floods! - samass - 20-12-2012

From my current position I can only see sky and a tree out my window. I'm gunna go with no floods here tho

*Waits for Matt's "I bent another rod in a puddle" thread

Ive spent the morning on site; was gonna drive to it in the '6, but seeing the state of the roads this morning, I diverted to the ofice and picked up a 4x4. So much fun has been had puddle-blasting & Wading lol

Fuuuuu ed, I has diesel now. Which means I can go thorough the sea if I wanted too.

And stall and probably throw a rod.

Had a wave come onto the bonnet the other week, no choice but to keep going though, and it was fine Big Grin

Not too much here, well, no more than normal Big Grin

RE: Floods! - Toms306 - 20-12-2012

A wave? Stop driving in the sea lol........ But how come it didn't end up in the intake if it was bonnet high?

RE: Floods! - Harky - 20-12-2012

I had a bow wave come over the bonnet this time last year, into the intake, lots of white smoke and very unhealthy sounding for the next few mins, cleared though and all seems grand - bit scared to look at my rods!

Really not the kinda weather I like running de-filtered in though....

RE: Floods! - Matt - 20-12-2012

I had a wave come over the bonnet, and.... Well... Everyone knows what happened

RE: Floods! - samass - 20-12-2012

I stood in a puddle went I went to the shop for milk. It splashed a bit.

Floods! - THE_Liam - 20-12-2012

No floods in Leeds, love living in a city built in a valley Wink

RE: Floods! - bigcheez2k3 - 20-12-2012

None here either as this part of London doesn't flood.

Unless the Thames goes but even then I should be ok.

A32 was closed under the M27 this morning due to flooding. Not that bothered me as I was going the other way.

RE: Floods! - lolsteve - 20-12-2012

Pretty floody round southampton way , it scared of hitting a puddle and having my engine drink through the cone filter shaped straw.

On plus side, car seems more perky maybe due to nice cold intercooler? Tongue
