On crutches... - MarkTD - 16-12-2012 Again!!! Everything was going fine yesterday I was servicing the pug and having a fit with a sump plug lol Went to get up off the floor and felt something go in my knee. (I have a dodgy knee to begin with) as I got up I shouted 'oh dear that hurt lol' carried on as normal and my knee started getting worse. So I decided to call it a day and rest it, went to friends house just up the road and was walking ok with abit of pain. Got home had my tea went to get out of the car and 'snap' something had gone in my knee and can't walk or put much weight on it as I'll fall over. I believe I f*cked a tendon up or summat lol so I'm not a happy chappy. I shall be at doctors or a&e If it doesnt Get better soon . Although it does save me fuel money being driven around lol RE: On crutches... - Dum-Dum - 16-12-2012 I bet your hopping mad On crutches... - MarkTD - 16-12-2012 (16-12-2012, 05:54 PM)Dum-Dum Wrote: I bet your hopping mad lol RE: On crutches... - c.gerrard - 16-12-2012 I hope someone gets you an oversize candy cane as a xmas present RE: On crutches... - Andy - 16-12-2012 Ooooooooo!! I have to say the noise when a tendon goes is effing horrific. I myself have a dodgey knee due to splitting it in half when I was 9. It doesn't help when its cold. Seeing as you was underneath your car then I imagine it wasn't the warmest of places. If you know something isn't right in your knee, its best to go straight to A+E as, as it happens, knees are very important. On crutches... - MarkTD - 16-12-2012 They did bugger all last time I went A&E about it. Gave me crutches and told to rest it. I'll go at some point, need someone to drive me lol. I tried driving today and its f*cking agony lol RE: On crutches... - ash240970 - 17-12-2012 Dude that's bad luck, on the plus side you don't have to worry about not being able to drink cos you've got to drive this xmas On crutches... - MarkTD - 20-12-2012 So got my knee checked out today and it seems I have damaged my MCL / Patella tendon (For those that don't know it kinda works like an anti - roll bar lol) So I'm walking better now without crutches and got my knee support back on to help but if it doesn't get better. I've got to go and have an MRI etc but at least I'm more mobile now! Means I can wash the pug lol and do some other jobs on her. RE: On crutches... - Eeyore - 20-12-2012 Better get it sorted out mate go and see the doctors and get it checked out otherwise when you say you cant work and your boss complains well... you wont have a leg to stand on! Looks as though I've damaged my MCL, ACL & LCL. I can't even put any weight at all on it, the pain is fecking awful! So far I've been told, rest, elevation, pain killers etc. and if it still bad later to o into hospital with it. RE: On crutches... - Connor - 25-12-2012 Ouch that's a shitter for xmas... I spent one Christmas with an appendix trying to kill me, wasn't until new years eve I had it taken out On crutches... - MarkTD - 25-12-2012 (25-12-2012, 01:41 PM)Connor Wrote: Ouch that's a shitter for xmas...
