Garrett GT-V series turbo's - strictly_perv - 11-12-2012

Hi does anyone know if the Garrett GT VNT's oil feel thread is the same as a T2?
Thanks.

I've found the newer garrets to have an m10x1.25 - only one way to find out though Wink

From what I remember it's M10x1.0... Stupidly fine thread, it was on my GT20v...

But they do change it, because there's no non-OEM VNT turbo, the OEM can specify whatever, so they come with a mix.

As Ruan said, generally speaking any GT/GTV blowers are M10/1.0 thread...but there are odd balls! adapters are pennys on the bay.

It's off a Vauxhall this beast. 05 plate I think.
Waiting for it to get delivered so when it does I'll try a T2 adapter in for size.

I really should be worrying about controlling the fecker first. TMI

t2 adapter wont fit, just buy a an4-m10x1.0 on ebay for 2 quid, then make up a an4-an4 braided oil hose and adapter for other end and job done Smile

^^ What he said, although I had a braided line made up with a banjo'd M10x1.0 thread at one end

Thats fine also, tbh the only reason i dont do that, is im constantly changing turbos, and engines for that matter haha, i just find AN fittings a really good universal fitting, so by using all AN hoses / inline filters, you can use them on any engine, just couple 2 quid adapters and your back on boost with new blower Smile

The turbo came with a OEM adapter which takes a M10x1 bolt, ideal!
